Lagos, Benin City, Asaba, Warri, Bayelsa, and nationwide collection centers
These Terms, Conditions, and Policies govern all international freight forwarding, cargo handling, and air export services provided by J.A DISPATCH. By booking an international shipment—whether sending personal parcels, commercial goods, or foodstuffs—the sender ("Customer") agrees to be bound by the terms set forth below and international air cargo transit regulations.
Standard Delivery Window: International air freight shipments to all destination regions (UK, USA, Canada, and Europe) take a maximum estimated transit window of 10 to 14 working days, counted from the date the cargo departs our consolidation hub.
Working Days Calculation: Working days exclude weekends (Saturdays & Sundays), official public holidays in Nigeria, and statutory holidays in the destination country.
Transit Contingencies: While J.A DISPATCH strives to deliver within this 10–14 working day window, delays resulting from customs clearance holds, agricultural inspections, or airline disruptions may extend transit times beyond the standard estimate.
J.A DISPATCH accepts international shipments categorized under approved destination tariff tiers:
UK Regular: Office Pickup and Doorstep Delivery (10–14 working days).
UK Protein / Meat / Ponmo: Specialized handling for compliant dried meat, ponmo, and protein items (10–14 working days).
Europe: General international freight and compliant packages (10–14 working days).
USA & Canada: Express air freight cargo and door/office delivery lines (10–14 working days).
Customs Declarations: The sender must accurately declare all items, including quantity, market value, and specific descriptions. Providing false or misleading declarations is illegal under Nigerian export laws and destination customs authorities (e.g., HMRC, US CBP, CBSA, EU Customs).
Mandatory Physical Inspection: J.A DISPATCH reserves the right to open, inspect, re-weigh, and re-pack all packages at our hubs before dispatch to ensure zero contraband or non-compliant items are included.
Prohibited & Restricted Items: The following items are strictly prohibited from international air export:
Narcotics, psychotropic substances, and unprescribed pharmaceuticals.
Fresh/unprocessed meat, unsealed liquid foodstuffs, or non-compliant biological items.
Firearms, explosives, flammables, batteries exceeding regulated limits, or toxic chemicals.
Counterfeit luxury products, currency, or unauthorized biological materials.
Volumetric Weight vs. Actual Weight: Billing is based on whichever is greater between the Actual Gross Weight (kg) and the Volumetric (Dimensional) Weight (kg).
Foodstuffs & Perishables: Dried goods, crayfish, seasonings, and proteins must be factory-sealed or vacuum-sealed in airtight, leak-proof packaging to pass agricultural customs inspections abroad.
Fragile Cargo: Items containing glass, delicate electronics, or ceramics must be crated or bubble-wrapped by the sender. J.A DISPATCH provides secondary exterior taping and strapping only.
Freight Rates: Published rates cover international air freight from Nigeria to the destination port or local delivery network.
Customs Duties & Tariffs: Any destination customs duties, import taxes, clearance surcharges, or quarantine inspection fees imposed by foreign governments (e.g., US CBP, UK HMRC, EU Authorities) are the sole responsibility of the recipient/sender and are not included in standard air freight charges unless explicitly stated.
Customs Seizure/Destruction: J.A DISPATCH is not responsible for items impounded, destroyed, or fined by foreign customs due to undeclared restricted goods, illegal items, or failure of the recipient to pay local import duties.
Doorstep Delivery: Parcels are handed over to secondary last-mile couriers upon clearing destination customs for direct delivery to the recipient's address.
Destination Depot Pickup: Where applicable, recipients choosing office pickup must present valid identification and the waybill tracking number.
Address Errors: Re-routing or address correction fees resulting from incorrect recipient details provided by the sender will be billed directly to the customer.
Standard Liability Cap: In the event of total loss or damage directly attributable to gross negligence by J.A DISPATCH during transit, liability is capped at the declared cargo value or a standard maximum payout per kilogram (whichever is lower), provided the item was fully declared and properly packaged.
Optional Cargo Insurance: High-value shipments must be covered by supplementary cargo insurance prior to departure.
Exclusions from Liability: J.A DISPATCH is not liable for:
Delays or damage caused by improper or weak packaging by the sender.
Seizure, destruction, or delay by international customs, border control, or agricultural health agencies.
Transit delays beyond the 10–14 working days timeframe caused by airline flight cancellations, severe weather, war, civil disturbance, or acts of government (Force Majeure).
Filing Deadline: Any claim for missing items, non-delivery beyond the standard timeline, or visible exterior damage must be logged in writing with J.A DISPATCH Customer Support within 72 hours of package delivery or pickup at the destination.
Supporting Documents: Claims must include the original waybill receipt, itemized proof of value (purchase invoices), and photographs/videos of the package condition upon arrival.
